Novallele Control Sets

Easily identify the genotype of your sample by comparing the high-resolution melting (HRM) analysis to the control data analysis for the homozygous wild type (WT), heterozygous mutant (HET), and homozygous mutant (HOM) variants. A Novallele Control Set ensures you are making the right genotyping call. Each set allows you to include all three genotypes in your PCR run — making genotyping calls easy.

Novallele control sets have the same PCR conditions as the associated Novallele genotyping assay. A Novallele Control Set includes a WT control and a HOM mutant control. A HET control is formulated by combining the two provided controls, although additional verification may be required to determine the correct amounts of the WT and HOM controls. Each control contains 120µL of double-stranded DNA, which matches the target of interest, in TE buffer. Each reaction requires 3.6µL; enough material is supplied for 33 reactions. We recommend using each control in triplicate for each PCR run. Store the Novallele Control Set at –20ºC.
